Beverly Walker is a nurse executive for a large not-for-profit health system in Texas, where she oversees professional, workforce, and leadership development; nursing excellence; nursing research; nursing practice and peer review, and regional staffing. She has more than 26 years of experience across inpatient and ambulatory care settings, including serving as CNO of a critical access hospital. Throughout her career, she has led multiple Magnet® and Pathway to Excellence® journeys. Beverly earned her BSN and MSN from the University of Texas at Arlington and her DNP from American Sentinel University, where she focused on the impact of Pathway to Excellence standards on nurse satisfaction. She has also held district and state leadership roles in several professional nursing and healthcare organizations, including the Texas Organization for Nurse Leaders and the Texas Nurses Association, and is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
