Chris Ann Meaney is the Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer/President of the Multispecialty Group at an independent community hospital in New England. Chris Ann received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Alaska Anchorage which is where she was born and raised. She has a Masters in Health Care Administration and graduated in 2013 with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Quinnipiac University. Chris Ann’s Doctorate focus was on leadership.
Chris Ann’s 20+ years working in Magnet institutions prepared her to be a transformational leader. Chris Ann believes strongly in shared governance structures and understands the value of implementing LEAN/Six Sigma strategies to improve overall quality of care. Besides Chris Ann’s servant leadership style, her gift is her commitment to strengthening nursing practice, empowering leaders, implementing
innovative and visionary strategies to improve patient safety and outcomes, and creating healthy work environments.
Chris Ann incorporates her executive coaching certification skills into her daily work and finds great satisfaction in supporting leaders at all levels and across all areas of practice
Leadership can often be challenging and messy. Chris Ann helped me to simplify the nuances of leadership by using a questioning attitude and insightful feedback. She offered an unbiased, non judgemental and safe space to authentically examine all attributes of my leadership style. She challenged me to acknowledge my intrinsic biases and to take ownership of my personal brand. Her passion for coaching allowed me to find strengths within myself that I didn’t know existed and the confidence to navigate through any challenge. I am grateful for her positivity and inspirational mentoring and know that our time together has set me on the path to success both personally and professionally.
